Terms of Service

Last updated 5 October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Awth at awth.dev. By using Awth, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

Awth is an identity service that lets you sign in with email codes and passkeys, manage a basic profile, and authenticate to apps that integrate with Awth.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address you control.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email and passkeys secure.
  • One person or organization should not create accounts for abusive or deceptive purposes.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Abuse OTP sending, attempt to bypass rate limits, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without permission
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
  • Use Awth to send spam, malware, or unlawful content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or other users
  • Scrape, overload, or reverse engineer the service except where allowed by law

4. Apps that use Awth

Third-party apps may use Awth for sign-in. Those apps are responsible for their own products, privacy practices, and compliance. Awth is not responsible for what an app does with information after you sign in.

5. Availability

We aim to keep Awth reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change as the service evolves.

6. Intellectual property

Awth, Mawth, and related branding and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as needed to use the service.

7. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Awth is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of Awth. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (or AUD $100 if you paid nothing).

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for the service or others, or if we discontinue the service. You may stop using Awth at any time and delete your account from your signed-in profile, or by emailing legal@awth.dev.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Courts in Australia will have jurisdiction, without affecting any non-waivable consumer rights you may have locally.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
